Trauma and Stress Research Laboratory

We aim to conduct scientific research in the field of psychological trauma and stress. Within the scope of the lab, we examine the epidemiological factors related to common mental health problems after psychological trauma, and conduct psychological interventions for several different groups. In order to examine the feasibility and effectiveness of these individual and group interventions, we conduct randomized controlled trials. Some examples of our work are culturally adapted cognitive behavioral therapy for refugees, online group interventions for individuals who had Covid-19, peer to peer psychological interventions and augmented reality exposure therapy for cynophobia (dog phobia).
